California Dreamin'
Mylene & Eric's trip to California // April 15 - 24 2006 //
We landed in San Jose, rented a car for the first 5 days. We visited Monterey, Santa Barbara. Came back up towards San Jose via the scenic route. We stopped in several cities, took lots of pictures and discovered great wines in the Santa Maria region. We met my cousin Trevor and his lovely wife Mira in San Jose, where they live. Had a great dinner at the Korean BBQ! We hadn't seen each other in over 2 years. Tante Julie met us in San Jose, and took us to her place in Merced which is located 2 hours East of San Jose, in the central valley. She and my Uncle John are both retired, and have a beautiful home outside the city limits. They took us to Yosemite National Park, located in the Sierras. No matter where you look in the park, you feel like you're standing in a postcard! Last but not least, on our last day, we visited the city of San Franscico. I will never forget the ride to downtown SF with Tante Julie driving her Passat with sweaty hands up and down the steepy hills of Nob Hill! (Tante Julie, I cannot thank you enough...and thank god you don't drive a standard!)
Anyways, don't be affraid to post your comments, we would love to hear what you think of our pics!
cheers!
